The first Christmas at the college here Kent and his crew strung a big tree on campus with lights. They had some cookies, carols, and horse and carriage ride as a part of an official tree lighting. Now it is a college and family tradition. After joining the college crowd in singing Christmas favorites the other night, we headed outside for the countdown 10, 9, 8, 7....Six large pine trees were lit up with bright lights along with the large entry way and some Christmas decorations. Then we sipped hot chocolate (with about 50 marshmallows for those age 8 and under) and waited in line for the "sleigh ride". Kent was pleased in this picture that all went well- he and his crew pulled off another successful "lighting". The large trees blended in with the snow flakes in the background.
